  • My parents gave me this Buco verge and foliot clock a long time ago. I used to have it in my room in their house. Always found the sound of it very soothing. Unfortunately the original weight cord wore out after a few years and I tried several replacements but they were all either too thin or too thick to fit correctly. I finally found some replacement sash cord that works. I would have preferred cotton over poly since the catch gear is plastic and the poly feels a little slick on there. But it hasn't slipped on me yet in about 9 hours of testing.

Katie loves it. Not as much as she loves the cuckoo in the clock next to it. But she still loves it.

Now I just have to figure out where to hang it permanently. This test location is too low and there isn't room for the weights. And while I love the sound I think Amy is starting to find it annoying even though she keeps saying it's relaxing. Most of the places I have vertical room to hang it are on brick/plaster walls and I hate trying to hang things on them.
