New GPS : GPS I plan to use in an improved APRS tracker. Compared to various other items to show size. GPS is USB only but it appears to be possible to grab the TTL signal and convert it to RS-232 instead. Or the OpenTracker seems to be easily modified to accept TTL directly. I'd like something smaller though and the TT3 SMT is tempting.

new ht : Picked up a used FT-740 on ebay to work satellites with. I already have a few FT-23R's so this way I can share my battery packs and accessories. The FT-740 has been quite enjoyable for minimal sat work!

TNC-X upgrades : My TNC-X was originally built as USB only but I've been having problems with the USB drivers so I decided to modify it to support both Serial and USB. I added the serial port and power plug inside the battery compartment so when being used through USB it still has no exposed unused connectors. I also added a DPDT switch to reconfigure the jumpers for both modes. The other photos are just me playing around with a jewlers loupe in front of my digital camera to get macro shots.
